Our day out takes us into a group of intriguing private city gardens designed by some of Australia’s most admired designers and landscape architects including Sydney-based designer Myles Baldwin, Kate Seddon, Myles Broad and Kate Cullity. The gardens respond in thoughtful ways to the unique conditions created by the intersection of site, streetscape, architecture, budget and client desires. From an intricately layered planting in a small
space to an elegant update of a garden surrounding an historic bluestone house.
We also dip away from the domestic to take in the beautifully immersive, award-winning Forest Gallery created at the Melbourne Museum by TCL in collaboration with a team of scientists, engineers and multimedia consultants. This extraordinary space recreates the tall Mountain Ash forest east of Melbourne, complete with mist in the undergrowth and birds in the canopy – all in a courtyard!
Join us for a day of garden excitement in the city.
